On October 31st 2022, Brazil elected Lula Ignacio da Silva to succeed Jair Bolsonaro as President. Bolsonaro's presidency instigated much division amongst the Brazilian population, prompting Lula to promise to not just govern for those who voted for him since two Brazils do not exist. Instead, we are one great nation.
Like the Constructivists, I believe designers do not serve an individualistic bourgeois purpose. Instead, designers have the power to help shape and express current society. Therefore, inspired by the works of Rodchenko, I created a series of posters to document this new chapter in Brazilian politics.
